Since graduating UNL with a bachelors degree in Construction Management, I have spent over 18 years working in commercial construction. I’ve worked on a wide range of projects including retail stores, commercial office spaces, and University Housing projects.
What’s the most memorable place you have visited?
For a short time in 2007 our family lived in Sparks Nevada. Since we knew our stay there would be relatively short (16 months) we purposed to experience as much of Northern Nevada and California as we could. It was an awesome time for us to connect as a family and spend the weekends on Lake Tahoe. We enjoyed family trips to San Francisco, Disneyland, the Monterey Bay Aquarium as well as many other areas. The best memory was experiencing all of these places with my wife and children.
What are you passionate about?
I am a highly relational person. I enjoy getting to know people. Being in construction allows me to come across many different people. Collaborating with them on projects and seeing things from start to completion is fantastic. I enjoy building things and being a part of the construction process.
How do you spend your spare time?
That’s a tough one considering we have an 18-year-old son, a 16-year daughter, and a 13-year-old son who are all involved in many activities. So our spare time seems to center around their school activities, sporting events, church activities, etc. But I wouldn’t change any of it. I do enjoy playing golf, cooking (is it too late for culinary school?), and spending time with family and friends.
